Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan state and in fact a very beautiful place. The city is popular as Pink City owing to the colorful buildings in the region. The Pink City forms the old city which was originally founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. The region enjoys the status of being the first planned city in India. The Pink City is quite a developed area with an urban population inhabiting the lands. Pink City is walled and that makes it to stand out from the rest of the regions. The entire area of Pink City has developed into an important commercial area. As the place is situated towards the centre of Jaipur accessibility is not a problem for Pink City.

In past decades Pink City has developed into an important commercial center and so has its adjoining regions. Modern Jaipur comprises of the old city or Pink City and the adjoining areas that encircle the old city. These places constitute the zones of the maximum civic activity. Ashok Nagar is located in central Jaipur and road links connects it with the rest of the Jaipur city. Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jhotwara, Sodala, Malviya Nagar form the peripheral regions.
