The new generation of the people in Jaipur are inclined to
move a bit form their traditional and conventional outlook. Last
decade has witnessed mushrooming of community services. The
nightlife in Jaipur has gained momentum and now a good percentage
goes to discos and pubs.
Jaipur has a good number of cinemas and theatres that provide ample
opportunities of amusement. A check out at the place is worth
anything after taking a patrol of the city. Some important cinema
houses include Ankur Gem, Laxmi Mandi, Man Prakash, Moti Mahal,
Mayank, Prem Prakash, Raj Mandir, Samrat. The places are hot seats
for theatrical performances as well. Theatre has developed in Jaipur
in the past years. The performances by local artists is simply
awe-inspiring. A blend of traditional and contemporary music rocks
these places.
There are adequate shopping malls and multiplexes in the city and
the people are not that much conventional. Pubs and bars in Jaipur
are often flocked with people. Some important ones in the region are
Steam located in Rambagh, Geoffrey's at Park Plaza, Heightz at Hotel
Man Singh and Waves at Maharani's Palace.
Coffee house culture is quite prevalent in the region. Coffee shops
like Mr.Beans and Rocks are also frequently visited places.
Many fine restaurants line up the city side. Restaurants like Hotel
Choki Dhani, Surya Mahal Restaurant, The Royal Fast Food, The
Temptations and Shivir Restaurant are favorite ones in Jaipur.
