Exquisite land scaped gardens are stretched at various places
in Jaipur. Some of these gardens which were laid down during the
time of maharajas have been renovated. Fountains, watercourses,
painted pavilions add to their beauty. The garden at the foothills
of Nahargarh and located in the city is very beautiful and a good
picnic spot.
Like palaces and forts some gardens at Jaipur bear a strong
resemblance with those laid down by mughal emperors. The stepped
gardens of Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh resemble mughal gardens in many
ways. The garden is considered to be a symbol of love as the
Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh made it for his queen.
A lush spacious garden with a zoo, an aviary, a greenhouse, a
herbarium , a museum and popular sport ground called Ram Niwas Bagh
constitutes the zoological garden of Jaipur. The garden houses many
animals and birds.
The Vidhyadhar gardens near Sisodia has been named after the
architect and town planner of Jaipur. The garden is a beautiful
vineyard with fountains pools and other royal resort features.
